HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEEK
I have posted a few times about my pup Mika, she's 14 nearly 15 and going through some health problems. We have been to the Vets, she's had scans & tests but found nothing but still panting, drinking loads and weeing loads, she has Cushings Disease symptoms but not the disease which is weird. She is really playing games with us though.
We know she has problems such as not being able to jump on the sofa, she will make a few try runs then look at us to pick her up BUT if we put a nice treat on the sofa for her she jumps up without thinking. We also have problems at bed time, she will sit in front of me every night at the same time around 9pm. Whine & Bark at me reminding me it's bedtime and she needs her supper. I'll get everything ready she will sprint up the stairs but when we shout her down to go out she will limp down the stairs and it's the same getting into the bed. We have bought stairs for her to make it easier, without a treat she will sit on top of the stairs and moan until one of us helps her over to her cooling blanket with a treat she will literally jump up the stairs and jump over Luna if she's in the way. I think this dog is playing us

I did mention the cooling blanket that we bought when we were having a heatwave, We bought her 2 one for upstairs the other for downstairs. This really helped her stay cool, I bought them from TikTok, we now just use them on the bed now the tempreture has dropped, they wash really well and still feel cool. Once it's to cold for them I'll wash them and have them ready for next year, they have been a great buy that have helped her so much.
She has been taking Gabapentin for a few months, she was taking 2 a day but then started being sick so cut them down, Mika is never sick. Once we cut them down she stopped being sick, we have now cut them down again to one every other day. We will see how she is without medication before we order anymore, don't understand why she should take meds if they can't find anything wrong. Plus her appetite hasn't reduced she's still eating the same as she always does. Just wish Dogs could say the odd words just to let us know of they are in pain 😞
