Hello, my dear otaku friends.

A few days ago, I wanted to draw this character from the Candy Candy manga-anime series. It's about Terry Grandchester, a spoiled, arrogant boy, but at the same time, he's cute, nice, and, why not?, a crush on many girls because he's so sincere and strong-willed.

In this story, Terry became Candy Candy's boyfriend, but due to various circumstances, they had to separate. And although, based on what we saw in this anime, Terry, who loved Candy, had to marry another girl, the truth is, we all wanted him to stay with his beloved, haha.

I wanted to do my drawing differently because I like to innovate, so I took a piece of cardboard and covered it with papier-mâché. How did I do it? Well, I covered the cardboard with a white sheet of paper and another white sheet of paper so I could wrinkle it. I glued it onto the previously covered cardboard and drew the picture, then painted it with tempera paint and markers.

NOTE:

My paper mache style is very simple, as we only have to wrinkle the sheet and then stick it on cardboard or cardstock, whichever you prefer, and spread it out so we can draw on it.

Hace unos días tenía deseos de dibujar a este personaje de la serie manga-anime de Candy Candy, y se trata de Terry Grandchester, un niño mimado, altanero, pero al mismo tiempo es lindo, agradable y, ¿por qué no?, el crush de muchas chicas por ser muy sincero y muy fuerte de carácter.

Terry en esta historia llegó a ser el novio de Candy Candy, pero por muchas circunstancias tuvieron que separarse, y aunque, según lo que pudimos disfrutar de este anime, Terry, amando a Candy, tuvo que casarse con otra chica, en verdad todos quisimos que quedara junto a su amada, jaja.

Mi dibujo lo quise hacer de manera diferente porque me gusta innovar, así que tomé un pedazo de cartón y lo forré con papel maché. ¿Cómo lo hice? Pues cubrí el cartón con una hoja blanca y con otra hoja blanca para poder arrugarla; la pegamos sobre el cartón previamente forrado y hacemos el dibujo para luego pintarlo con témpera y marcadores.

NOTA:

Mi estilo de papel maché es muy sencillo, ya que solo debemos arrugar la hoja y luego pegarla sobre un cartón o sobre cartulina, como les guste más, y extenderla para poder dibujar sobre ella.
