Ow men...I wouldn't survive a week

Over the last couple of weeks I have been watching the 'Alone USA' show and have been enjoying this to the fullest. In case you don't know what this show is....This is about competitors being dropped off in a very remote place where they have to make camp and find their own food all by themselves with no camera team around

The one who survives the longest in the wild wins 500.000 dollars in the USA version so the stakes of winning this are damn high. I saw competitors in the series eating their food with maggots on just to stay a bit longer in the game. That means it is game on!

Yes this does look like I snapped the whole main stem by accident indeed with one clear cut

Because of this hubby and I were talking about this show and who of us would be able to stay longer in the game when we would both be competitors.

The conclusion was that I am a more of a hands on person, starting something without having a plan, just seeing where we lead on to. Sometimes that brings good things, sometimes that brings false hope. But always something will happen.

Hubby is different. Overthinks a plan very well, will rethink it, will weigh out the options and then get to it usually resulting in something great.

I guess that is why we fit together very well, because it balances it out very much.

The truth about this... I would be done after a week already alone in the woods, because I am a social animal and I like talking with other people way too much!

## The reality of it all

Just exactly the difference about this was made clear a couple of days ago. As I was walking outside to cut some chives from the garden while food was bubbling on the stove, I got distracted while passing the zucchini plant. I saw some yellow leaves and while there was a rush to get back to my stove, I also though in that split second 'hey I can cut these yellow leaves, the cut my chives and walk back inside'

The result? I cut the whole main stem instead of the yellow leaves because I was in a rush and literally killed this very well thriving zucchini plant in 1 second. Oopsie!

This was the perfect example of how I would be in the alone in the woods as well. Working hard, using everything I can find what is around me, planning everything, making it all thrive.

And then with one moment of not being very present, alert and aware just snap everything in two.

Yup...I wouldn't survive a week alone in the woods, that is one thing that is for sure.
