"I Stopped Blaming My Parents — and My Life Changed”

There was a season in my life when I used to blame my parents for everything. From JSS3 to SS3, I looked at where we were, what we had, and I became angry, disappointed, and unsatisfied. “Why are we living like this? Why are we not in a mansion? Why are we not seen or heard on television?” These questions consumed my heart, and bitterness was growing.
In this picture, my twin brother and my parents are in the picture, with a friend of mine. My parents are by my right hand site and my twin brother is on the left side end. The picture was captured during an event a participate and became among the winners
But one day, the Holy Spirit began to warn and teach me: “Stop blaming your parents. Stop blaming people for your life. Your future is not their limitation.” From that moment, I began to build myself and yield to the voice and direction of God. I started learning independence, how to survive, how to grow, how to think, and how to face hardship with courage.

Books, including some by John Maxwell, opened my eyes to leadership and purpose. I realized I didn’t need to travel to America to become great, I could bring greatness to where I was. The Holy Spirit separated me, equipped me, and reminded me of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Today, I no longer complain. Instead, I am becoming the evidence. I challenged myself to make my parents proud, and by God’s help, I am standing before kings. Blame changed nothing, but the Holy Spirit changed me. 🙏💪🏽🔥💫
