From 100 Level to 500 Level: Walking the Journey Together

Life in the university is a journey filled with countless experiences, challenges, and opportunities for growth. One of the most beautiful aspects of this journey is not only the academic knowledge we acquire but also the people we meet along the way, those who walk with us side by side through thick and thin. As I reflect on my years in Federal University Lafia, from 100 Level to this very moment in 500 Level, one name that stands out with gratitude and admiration is my Assistant Course Representative, Trimesi.

From the very first year we were admitted into this institution, the responsibility of leading the class fell upon us as Course Rep and Assistant. Many might think that such titles are just roles, but to us, it has been a calling of service, leadership, and sacrifice. We carried the burdens, shared the laughter, faced the complaints, and navigated through the ups and downs of academic life together. Through it all, Trimesi has been a consistent support system, and I cannot help but appreciate her for the journey we shared.

Working together with Trimesi has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my undergraduate life. Her sense of responsibility is unmatched. Whenever there was a task to be done, a form to be filled, or information to be disseminated, she was always there to ensure that nothing was left undone. She possessed a calmness that balanced my leadership style. While I sometimes had to face the heat of pressure from lecturers and fellow students, she stood solidly behind me, ensuring that we executed our duties effectively. Truly, no leader succeeds alone, and having her as an Assistant Course Rep made the journey lighter and more fulfilling.

Our journey from 100 Level to 500 Level was not just about academics but also about personal growth. Together, we witnessed the transition from fresh undergraduates struggling to adapt to campus life into matured final-year students who can look back with pride at how far we have come. We weathered countless challenges, from tight deadlines to unexpected schedule changes, and through it all, we developed a friendship grounded in mutual respect and commitment to the class we served.

Today, as we hold our bound projects in hand and step out from the hall of external defense, a wave of emotions floods my heart. It is not just the end of an academic chapter but also the closing of a leadership season we shared. The last day of participating in the school’s official activities as student leaders brings both joy and nostalgia. Joy, because we have completed the race well; nostalgia, because the chapter of service we wrote together has come to a natural end.

But even as this chapter closes, I am deeply convinced that what we built will not be forgotten. Our classmates will remember us not only as Course Rep and Assistant but as leaders who did their best to ensure that no one was left behind. Personally, I will always hold Trimesi in high esteem for her dedication, humility, and cooperation throughout these years. She has proven that leadership is not about titles but about service, sacrifice, and teamwork.

As we step forward into the next phases of our lives, I pray that God will continue to bless and guide her. The lessons we have learned, the experiences we have gathered, and the bond of partnership we have shared will forever remain part of our stories. Thank you, Trimesi, for being more than just an assistant, you have been a dependable ally, a loyal teammate, and a friend.
