On Sunday, we held our long-awaited Joint Christian Campus Fellowship (JCCF) Federal University Lafia Chapter Thanksgiving Service, and it was a truly memorable day. It was not just another gathering, but a moment of reflection, gratitude, and celebration of God’s goodness over our lives, our fellowship, and our service on campus. Seeing everyone come together in unity, beautifully dressed in our coordinated attires, reminded me of the bond we share as one body in Christ.

The service was filled with joy from beginning to end. The atmosphere carried an overwhelming sense of gratitude as different units and members lifted their voices in songs of worship and testimonies of God’s faithfulness. It was an opportunity to look back at the journey of JCCF Fulafia, the challenges we overcame, and the victories we experienced by the grace of God. Truly, God has been faithful, and this Thanksgiving was our way of saying, “Lord, we acknowledge You, and we return all glory to You.”

For me personally, the day held even greater significance because I was recognized for my service as the Vice President of JCCF Fulafia Chapter. When I was called out to receive my certificate of service, along with a jotter and a gift that was beautifully wrapped, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment and humility. It was not just about the certificate or the gifts; it was about the recognition of the little sacrifices, the prayers, the meetings, the sleepless nights, and the consistent efforts poured into serving God’s people. Leadership is not always easy, but it is always rewarding when done unto the Lord.

As I stood with fellow executives and members, I could not help but reflect on the journey. From the very first day I took up the role of Vice President, I understood that it would require commitment, sacrifice, and vision. There were times when it felt overwhelming, but God’s grace was always sufficient. The Thanksgiving service reminded me that everything we do for Christ is never in vain. The joy on the faces of brethren and the testimonies of growth in the fellowship are priceless rewards.

The event was also a reunion of sorts. We had the chance to take group photographs that captured the unity and beauty of JCCF Fulafia. Looking around at the large crowd of believers dressed in the same shade of attire, I felt proud to be part of such a family. These are moments that create lasting memories, moments we will cherish even after leaving school.

As the program came to an end, I was filled with renewed zeal to keep serving God beyond the four walls of the campus. Being an executive in JCCF has taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, humility, teamwork, and faith. The certificate of service is more than a paper to me; it is a reminder that service to God and humanity brings lasting impact.

In all, the Thanksgiving service was a success, and I am deeply grateful for the honor of serving as Vice President. I look forward to carrying the lessons and experiences from JCCF into every other phase of life, knowing that indeed, it pays to serve Jesus.
