It was during one of my trips to Southern India (Chennai), and I was exploring the village of Manappakkam. This lovely young lady was doing laundry by the river and laying it on the bank to dry. I was on the bridge looking down.
I have always been impressed by the elegance of Indian women as they go about their daily chores. Eternally feminine, no matter what kind of work they do, they wear their richly colored saris and their jewelry. They often have jasmine flowers in their hair which are both aromatic and decorative.
