LONGGANISA
I decided to cook these two for my breakfast. It's been long since I've eaten these two process foods. The first picture is the longganisa, it is somewhat called the Philippine sausage. It looks like an intestine and also it is made of intestine of pork/beef but mostly pork is used to make longganisa. It is made of ground pork meat and fat. The outer part/skin which coats the longganisa is the intestine of pork. Longganisa is sold all over the Philippines. Longa ago it was hand made but through innovative ideas, with the help of machines now they use machines to produce them but some also still use the process of handmade. Because they believe that it is much tasty if you made it with hand or should I say with "passion". If you want to eat the number one longganisa here in the Philippines you should go to Vigan, Ilocos Sur. That is the longganisa capital of the Philippines.
TOCINO
This process food is known as tocino, it is widely sold in the market also. This is cured lean meat of pork and they added some flavorings and additives to it. It is a process food so don't expect that it is organic. Tocino is one of my favorite processed food, its sweet taste gives me more hungrier while I am eating this. Tocino is widely produce in Pampanga, Philippines. That is why the brand name that is mostly seen in the market is "Pampanga's Best".
These two is a must have breakfast meals if you are a tourist here in the Philippines. IT'S MORE FOOD IN THE PHILIPPINES!
