Hello, my dear readers. I hope you are having or have had a wonderful day. I want to tell you that I learned to knit when I was little, and it was something I loved to do. I knitted sweaters, belts, handbags, blouses, and even swimsuits. Unfortunately, I no longer have any of those pieces, as I gave some away and wore others until they were worn out, but the truth is that I enjoyed them very much. I spent a long time without knitting, first because of my studies, then because of work. But now that I have a little free time while my daughter is at school, I have decided to take up knitting again. Today I want to show you how I made a phone charm. Although it can be used as a key ring, or hung on your purse or bag, wherever you like. This knitting project is quite simple and easy to do, so without further ado, here are the step-by-step instructions.
## ***STEP BY STEP:***
The stitches I will use in this knitting pattern are: chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches, double crochet stitches, and triple crochet stitches.
I start my knitting with 25 chain stitches, and I close with a slip stitch, thus forming a circle.
Once the circle is complete, I continue crocheting 45 single crochet stitches and close with a slip stitch. Since there are more single crochet stitches than chain stitches, they will be quite tight, which will give shape to the circle.
After finishing the single crochet stitches, I make a row of slip stitches in each previous single crochet stitch.
Once the circle is complete, I continue crocheting 25 chains and then go back and crochet a slip stitch in each previous chain until I reach the circle, where I cut the thread and hide it between the stitches so that it is not visible, as shown in the images.
Then I apply white glue to the tail part of the cat to shape it, and this will also help the fabric stay in place more firmly.
To make the cat's head, I will follow the same process as I did with the previous circle. This time, I chain 20 stitches and join them with a slip stitch. I continue with 35 single crochet stitches and close with a slip stitch. I finish with a round of slip stitches over each single crochet stitch.
To make the ears, I start by crocheting 5 chain stitches, then I go back and crochet into the second stitch, a slip stitch, then a half double crochet, followed by a double crochet and then a treble crochet.
I join the ear to the circle, leaving 4 stitches between them and one with a slip stitch.
I knit 4 slip stitches and repeat the same process to make the other ear. I join with a slip stitch and cut the yarn, then hide the end between the fabric so it is not visible.
And that's how the head would be ready.
The next step would be to join the two parts together. This is best done with a special needle for knitting this type of join, which has a rounded tip and makes it much easier. Unfortunately, I don't have one, so I have to improvise. Using the same knitting needle, I pass the thread through each single crochet stitch of each circle, until I have completed about five stitches, and then I close with slip stitches, cut the thread, and hide it in the fabric.
And so the cat is almost ready.
Now we decorate with the charm we selected for this. I placed it at the junction of the two circles, simulating a cat collar. I also placed the pendant or the strip where it will hang, at the top, in the middle of the ears. There is no need to knit a loop to hang these two items, because, as you can see, the charm has a ring that is easy to open, and I inserted it into one of the stitches of the knitting. I did the same with the pendant, as it has a piece that easily hooks onto the knitting.
Finally, I applied white glue all over the fabric. This will give it strength and make the fabric look neater.
Before finishing, I want to share an image I made with the points I used. I am doing this because not everyone understands the points just by reading them; some people are more visual and understand better if they see the diagram. Anyway, here it is, in case it helps.
And now, after waiting for the glue to dry and making sure that the tail doesn't split and stays firm, the pendant is ready. As I said at the beginning, it's easy to knit and looks very pretty.

Hola mis queridos lectores. Espero que tengan o hayan tenido un excelente día. Quiero comentarles que desde pequeña aprendí a tejer y es algo que me encantaba hacer, tejí suéter, cinturones, carteras, blusas y hasta traje de baño. Lamentablemente, ya no tengo ninguna pieza de esas, pues algunas las regale, otras las use hasta más no poder, pero lo cierto es que las disfrute bastante. Pase un buen tiempo sin tejer, por motivos de estudios, luego de trabajo. Pero ahora que tengo un poquito de tiempo libre, mientras mi hija va al colegio, he decidido retomar los tejidos. Hoy les quiero mostrar como realice un colgante para teléfono. Aunque se puede usar para un llavero, o colgarlo en la cartera o en el bolso, donde más guste. Este tejido es bastante sencillo y fácil de hacer, así que sin más preámbulo, le muestro el paso a paso.
## ***PASO A PASO:***
Los puntos que usaré en este tejido son: cadenetas, puntos deslizados, puntos bajos, punto medio bajo, punto alto y punto alto doble.
Empiezo mi tejido con 25 cadenetas, y cierro con un punto deslizado, formando así un círculo.
Una vez realizado el círculo, continuo tejiendo 45 puntos bajos y cierro con un punto deslizado. Como son más puntos bajos que cadenetas, van a quedar bien apretados, lo que hará darle forma al círculo.
Al finalizar de hacer los puntos bajos, hago una vuelta de puntos deslizados en cada punto bajo anterior.
Ya finalizado el círculo, continuo tejiendo 25 cadenetas y me regreso tejiendo un punto deslizado en cada cadeneta anterior, hasta llegar al círculo donde corto el hilo y lo escondo entre los puntos para que no se vea, tal como se muestran en las imágenes.
Luego le echo pega blanca a la parte de la cola del gato, para darle forma, y esto también ayudara para que el tejido quede con más firmeza.
Para hacer la cabeza del gato, voy a realizar el mismo proceso que hice con el círculo anterior. Esta vez tejo 20 cadenetas, las uno con un punto deslizado. Continuo con 35 puntos bajos y cierro con un punto deslizado. Para finalizar con una vuelta de puntos deslizados sobre cada punto bajo.
Para realizar las orejas, empiezo tejiendo 5 cadenetas, me regreso tejiendo en el segundo punto, un punto deslizado, luego un punto medio alto, continuo con un punto alto y después un punto doble.
Uno la oreja al círculo, dejando 4 puntos de separación y uno con un punto deslizado.

Tejo 4 puntos deslizados y repito el mismo proceso para realizar la otra oreja. Uno con un punto deslizado y corto el hilo, luego escondo la punta entre el tejido para que no se vea.

Y así quedaría la cabeza ya lista.

El siguiente paso sería unir las dos partes. Esto se realiza mejor con una aguja especial para tejer este tipo de uniones, que tiene la punta redonda y es mucho más fácil. Lamentablemente, no la tengo, así que me toca ingeniármelas. Con la misma aguja de tejer, voy pasando el hilo por cada punto bajo de cada círculo, hasta completar unos cinco puntos y luego cierro con puntos deslizados, corto el hilo y lo escondo entre el tejido.

Y así nos queda casi listo el gato.

Ahora decoramos con el dije que seleccionamos para esto, lo coloque en la unión de los dos círculos, simulando un collar del gato. También le coloco el colgante o la tira por donde se va a guindar, en la parte de arriba, en el medio de las orejas. No necesite tejer una asa para colgar estas dos cosas, pues como pueden ver el dije tiene una argolla que es fácil de abrir y la introduje en uno de los puntos del tejido y lo mismo hice con el colgante, pues tiene una pieza que se engancha fácilmente al tejido.

Para finalizar, le eché pega blanca por todo el tejido. Esto le dará firmeza y el tejido quedará más prolijo.

Antes de finalizar, quiero compartir una imagen que les realice con los puntos que utilice. Esto lo hago con el fin de que no todas las personas entienden los puntos con solo leerlos, algunos son más gráficos, entienden mejor si ven el esquema. De todos modos aquí se los dejo por si les sirve de ayuda.

Y ahora sí, después de esperar a que la pega secara y fijarme en que la cola no se desdoble y quede firme, ya quedo listo el colgante. Como les dije al principio, es algo fácil de tejer y queda muy bonito.
