Hello, my dear readers. I hope you are having or have had an excellent day. Here in Venezuela, a week ago, a new school year began. Nowadays, children want to decorate their notebooks with eye-catching drawings, whether they are of their favourite characters or simply a drawing that looks very pretty and colourful. They no longer want simple labels where they can put their personal details and that's it.
For this school year, I wanted to decorate my daughter's notebooks, so I asked her what drawings she wanted me to make, and after a long time naming so many drawings she wanted, she finally decided on the ones I will show you below. So, without further ado, I will show you the step-by-step process.
## ***STEP BY STEP:***
I will start with the lined notebook that you will use to do your homework. With the pencil, I sketch out what the drawing will look like to guide me when colouring it in.
Draw a rectangle to simulate a blackboard, with a picture of My Melody, as if she were writing her name.
Add an ice cream and a cupcake for decoration, and some stripes that will be clearer later on.
I start with the black marker, drawing the edges of the picture and erasing any visible pencil lines.
My Melody does not have many details or colours. I just colour the hat she is wearing pink and paint the details of the flower and her face.
I also coloured the basket and the cupcake.
With the help of the ruler, I draw the board, following the lines in the notebook, and make the border 5 mm wide.
I made the rounded tips by calculation, and this is how they turned out, as shown in the image.
To make it a bit more eye-catching, I colour it with a yellow marker so that it stands out.
Now I draw some vertical lines to give the page a background. I use the notebook's border line as a guide and mark lines 5 mm apart. I draw a thin line and a thick line with the pink marker, as you can see in the image.
I begin to paint the name, the first letter of the first name and the surname, I painted them black and the rest pink.
For the top part, I wanted to make a sort of label where the student's personal details could be entered.
Continue making the same lines as at the bottom, but leaving space where the personal details are written.
Finally, I made a yellow frame around the personal details and finished painting the surname, and that was it.
This is what the finished cover looks like.
For the maths notebook, I wanted to make something more colourful, with more details, items that are used in this subject. The sketch I made includes a calculator, some rulers, the name of the subject and the student, and some details with the most commonly used symbols.
At the edge of the page, paint some squares of different colours, with mathematical symbols, as if they were joined together like a kind of ribbon.
I paint the name “mathematics” in different colours, making the outline of the letters darker than the centre. I also add some details to each letter, as can be seen in the image.
With the help of a ruler, I shaped the calculator and rulers and painted them with markers, adding details to each drawing.
Also with the help of a ruler, I made some leaves, as if they were stacked on top of each other, and painted them different colours.
I finish by painting the name in several colours, making the edge darker than the centre. Erase any pencil marks that remain, paint the edge where the signs are in black and grey to give it a little depth, and you're done.
And that's how the cover for the maths notebook turned out.

Hola, mis queridos lectores. Espero que tengan o hayan tenido un excelente día. Aquí en Venezuela, hace una semana, comenzó un nuevo año escolar. Hoy en día, los niños, quieren decorar sus cuadernos con dibujos llamativos, que sean de sus personajes favoritos o simplemente un dibujo que se vea muy bonito y colorido. Ya no quieren etiquetas simples donde colocar sus datos personales y ya.
Para este periodo escolar, le quise decorar los cuadernos a mi hija, así que le pregunté, qué dibujos quería que le hiciera, y después de un largo rato nombrando tantos dibujos que quería, por fin, se decidió por estos que les mostraré a continuación. Así que, sin más preámbulos, les enseño el paso a paso.
## ***PASO A PASO:***
Comenzaré con el cuaderno de rayas que utilizará para hacer las tareas. Con el lápiz, realizo un bosquejo de cómo será el dibujo para irme guiando a la hora de colorearlo.
Dibuje un rectángulo simulando una pizarra, con un dibujo de My Melody, como si estuviera escribiendo el nombre.
Coloque un helado y un cupcake para decorar y unas rayas que ya las verán mejor más adelante.
Comienzo con el marcador negro, realizando los bordes del dibujo y borrando las líneas de lápiz que se ven.
My Melody no lleva muchos detalles ni colores. Solo coloreo de rosado el gorro que lleva en la cabeza y pinto los detalles de la flor y la cara.
También coloreó la barquilla y el cupcake.
Con la ayuda de la regla, dibujo la pizarra, me guio por las líneas del cuaderno y realizó el borde con un grosor de 5 mm de ancho.
Las puntas redondeadas se las hago a cálculo y así quedaron, tal como se muestra en la imagen.
Para hacerla un poco llamativa, la coloreo con un marcador amarillo para que resalte.
Ahora realizo unas líneas en vertical para darle un fondo a la página. Me guío por la línea de borde que trae el cuaderno y marcó líneas con 5 mm de separación. Dibujo con el marcador rosado, una línea fina y otra gruesa. Tal como se puede apreciar en la imagen.
Empiezo a pintar el nombre, la primera letra del nombre y el apellido, la pinté de negro y las demás de color rosado.
Para la parte de arriba quise hacer como especie de una etiqueta, donde se colocan los datos personales del alumno.
Continúe realizando las rayas iguales que en la parte de abajo, pero dejando el espacio donde están escritos los datos personales.
Para terminar, le hice un marco en color amarillo en la parte de los datos personales y terminé de pintar el apellido y listo.
Así quedaría la portada ya terminada.
Para el cuaderno de matemáticas, quise hacer algo más colorido, que lleve más detalles, artículos que se usan de acuerdo con esta materia. El bosquejo que hice lleva una calculadora, unas reglas, el nombre de la materia y del alumno y unos detalles con los signos que más se usan.
En el borde de la página, pinte unos cuadrados de diferentes colores, con los signos de matemática, como si se unieran entre sí como especie de una cinta.

Pinto el nombre de matemáticas, con colores diferentes, haciendo el borde de la letra de un color más oscuro que el centro. Y haciendo unos detalles a cada letra, tal como se aprecia en la imagen.

Con la ayuda de la regla, le doy forma a la calculadora y las reglas y las pinté con los marcadores y haciéndole los detalles a cada dibujo.
También con la ayuda de la regla realizó unas hojas, como si estuviera una montada encima de la otra, y las pintó de colores diferentes.

Termino pintando el nombre de varios colores, haciendo el borde más oscuro que el centro. Borre cualquier marca de lápiz que haya quedado, pinte de negro y gris el borde donde están los signos para darle un poco de profundidad y listo.
