Hello, dear readers. I hope you are having or have had a wonderful day. As every year, our friends at #diyhub invite us to participate in a contest in honor of our beloved and industrious bees. (Here is the link for those who want to participate).
Last year, due to power outages in my country, I was unable to post on time and was left out of the contest, but this year I got busy with my little bee and here I am participating.
What I like most about bees is their honey. Did you know that a bee can visit up to 7,000 flowers in a day? But it takes more than 4 million visits to flowers to produce one liter of honey. It's incredible what these bees can do.
But the good thing is that we can also do something for them, such as planting flowers, not using pesticides, taking care of trees, and preventing the destruction of their natural habitat, where they can build their hives. Above all, we must be aware that bees are one of the most important animals for the existence of our planet, because without them, the planet would be lifeless in just a few years.
For my entry in this contest, I will show you step by step how to make a beautiful bee out of crepe paper.
STEP BY STEP
With a sheet of Bond paper, I cut it in half and made two balls.
The first ball I made, wrapping the top of the pencil, in order to leave a hole, as shown in the picture.
And the second ball, if I make it complete, and to make sure that it doesn't fall apart, I glue all around it, trying to make sure that the cracks are well closed. And once the balls are ready, I glue one on top of the other.
Use the yellow crepe paper in strips, I didn't really measure them, but they are approximately 5 x 15 cm.
After being rolled up, I push the paper towards the center, trying to make it look like an accordion and then carefully remove the sticks.
It looks like this. With a toothpick, I did the same procedure, but this time, only using a toothpick, that is, to use it on the antennae of the bee.
And so they stayed. Make enough to cover the entire bee.
Once everything is ready, I assemble the bee. I place a yellow strip at the bottom, leaving a space where the pencil will be, and then I alternate the colors, one yellow and one black.
With the flesh-colored foamy, I cut out a circle to make the face. And glue it to the head of the bee.
I glue a black strip to give shape to the edge of the face, as you can see in the image. And I finish filling the whole head with the black strips.
Since I don't have white crepe paper, I thought of using toilet paper, it's the closest thing I could find. So with two sheets of paper and a tall stick, I made some strips, which I then glued in a "U" shape to form what would be the wings.
Once the wings are ready, I glue them to the back of the bee's body.
With the yellow tubes, I put the antennae and made small black balls that I glued on the tip of each antenna. I also made a thin black strip, I glued it all over the strip to make it hard and form the sting of the bee, then I glued it in the middle of the wings, to also cover the union of the wings.
Finally, with the black and pink pencil, I decorated the little face. I also cut out a small circle to glue as a nose.
And that's how beautiful my hard-working little bee looked.
I hope you liked this tutorial that I have gladly prepared for you. I say goodbye as always, but not before thanking you for taking a little of your valuable time to visit my blog and support me. And as the saying goes: "Do good, without looking at whom".

PASO A PASO
