Espero que se encuentren superbién este nuevo día. El viernes pasado tuvimos que hacerle a mi hijo Dylan los exámenes de control. Como les había mencionado, desde abril hemos estado pasando por un momento muy complicado. Fue diagnosticado con púrpura trombocitopenia, que quiere decir que tenía una cantidad muy baja de plaquetas en su cuerpo, y también fue operado de apendicitis. Fueron momentos muy difíciles, y por ese motivo él tuvo transfusiones de plaquetas. Gracias a esto, tenemos que hacerle un control, no solo con hematología, sino también con infectología.

He was diagnosed with thrombocytopenic purpura, which means he had a very low number of platelets in his body, and he was also operated on for appendicitis. They were very difficult moments, and for that reason, he had platelet transfusions. Thanks to this, we have to do a follow-up, not only with hematology but also with infectology.

Aprovechamos para hacerle sus exámenes para descartar cualquier infección que pudiera contagiarse por las transfusiones de sangre, como recomendó la infectóloga. Aunque él no se mostraba muy alegre por esto, de hecho, estuvo molesto todo el camino y muy preocupado. Gracias a Dios, todo está bien.
