I have said it before and I will say it again, the Pacific Northwest has the feel of a magical fairy tale land. Everywhere you look there are these little magic moments, like this bed of moss on the fork of this tree branch. This just seems like the perfect bed for a fairy to spend the night doesn't it?
Photo by @kellyjanderson shot on the Olympus E-M5
I took this photo while we were in Seattle for our house hunting trip the week before we moved to Seattle. While we were waiting for the rental agent to show us a condo, the late afternoon sun had broken through the clouds and a beam of light was illuminating this bed of moss from behind. It was a perfect moment so I did not hesitate to pull out my camera and get the shot.
