Yellow Iris

All around the banks of Green Lake in Seattle these beautiful and delicate yellow irises grow. They bloom, the blooms fade and die, and more blooms come at the blooms from before wither away. It is as if these irises refuse to be constrained to a single season.

I was using a rather slow shutter speed of 1/60, and there was a slight breeze that day. When I got the photo off the camera it had the slightest motion blur/camera shake, making it slightly too soft to use. I had recently become aware of a sharpening filter in Photoshop for camera shake and figured it would give it a try. After playing with the settings a bit I managed to effectively counter all of the softness and saved the photo!
