God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4 Vs 24. So to do what pleases Him means one has to have a connection or a personal working relationship with Him to know His nature as God. From knowing His nature as God to knowing what He loves and hates and what pleases Him the most. From the bible book of Acts Jesus always emphasized on making disciples and bearing witnesses of His gospel. He talks about winning souls for Him telling people to know of His name, His power , His works and His glory. It pleases God to win souls for Him. The bible says " Whosoever winneth a soul is wise". It also pleases God when we keep His commandment and live happily with one another . The bible says" When a man's way pleases the Lord He will make his enemies to be at peace with him". When we do what pleases Him in return He gives us peace and fights our battles Exodus 14 Vs 14. Living a godly and a righteous life also pleases God. Righteousness exalt a nation but sin is a reproach.
