Liverpool have been a joy for hate-watchers after having a series of poor and uninspiring performance since the beginning of this season. To crown it all, we've started to lose games and we've now lost two games in a row.

The football community is having a big laugh at Liverpool and folks are enjoying this perceived 'downfall' we are beginning to experience after spending a record £446 million during the summer.

Hate-watchers are surely injecting this series of uninspiring performance into their vein while Liverpool fans are divided by what they are seeing. Some Liverpool fans are already panicking while others maintain belief that everything will be okay.

For me, I'm right in the middle. I see things falling apart and it's quite worrying. However, I also believe that Slot will get it right and I believe we have enough quality in this squad to go ahead and win games convincingly.

Yeah!

Two things can be true!

That's the case for Liverpool at the moment and we've got to call it as it is.

The Noticable Issues So far;

- Defensive Weakness: Liverpool have one of the best defenders in the world at the moment. Yet, his center back partners throughout his time in Liverpool haven't been players who can consistently give 7/10 performance each week.

Konate has been putting in stinky performance for the whole of this season and it's a pity that we can't even bench him because the next in line for that position is Gomez who isn't any good either. Giovanni Leoni who's just 18 years old would have been another option. However, he picked up a serious injury and could be out for a year.

- New Players Are Struggling: Part of the reason for our poor defense is due to the struggles of the two new full-backs (Kerkez and Frimpong) we signed in the summer. They have been struggling both in attack and in defence.

However, Florian Wirtz is the one that gets most of the stick because Liverpool broke the transfer window to sign him for over 100M. He was supposed to be the guy to cut through opposition's midfield and unlock their defence. However, he has struggled to do those in several games. It also doesn't help that he's getting bodied and outmuscled.

- Old Players Are Not In Form: Yeah! Mo Salah, for example, had one of his best seasons for Liverpool in the previous season. That's part of the reason Liverpool broke their wage structure to offer a new contract to him. He was getting remarkable goals and assists while also creating a whole lot of chances that got wasted by Nunez.

Well, now we have new forwards who are a lot more clinical. However, Salah hasn't been able to do any of the things he does best. He hasn't played well this season and he, just like Cody and even Macca, has been struggling to create chances for our strikers.

- Tactical Concern: This particular one is all on Arne Slot and his coaching staff. With the sort of quality players we have at the moment, the Coach has been trying to explore several playing styles that will bring out the best in these players.

For example, we haven't played with a proper creative no.10 since the days of Coutinho in 2018. Now, we have a Florian Wirtz who's a creative machine but the rest of the squad is finding it hard to perform well with him in the squad.

The fact that our make shift no.6 (Gravenberch) is now bumming forward is also making it easier for oppositions to cut through our midfield and subsequently, our defence.

Not playing well for the most part of this season is already a tough experience for Liverpool. Losing two games in a row will make things even more complicated. The pressure to bounce back will be high and they have to prove a point in their upcoming game against Chelsea.
