Prior to this game, we knew it was going to be an intense and highly competitive game. That's how Liverpool's games against Newcastle have been in recent years.

This particular one was built up to be one of the most intense because of the circumstances surrounding Alexander Isak and his attempt to leave Newcastle and join Liverpool. Their fans were up for this and the players also came prepared for action.

The game itself turned out to be one heck of a really impressive one. There was so much to enjoy about this game. There were goals galore in the match plus late minutes winner that was scored by 16 years old Rio Ngumoha. There was also a Red card in this game and that much was expected going into this game.

Highlights From The Game.

Gravenberch scored the first goal of the game in the 35th minute. That game was executed calmly and smartly from outside the box. Prior to the moment we got this goal, Liverpool players were getting kicked around and the ref was frustrating me with silly calls.

Newcastle finally made a tackle that didn't sit well with the referee in the 45+3 minute. Gordon picked up straight red card from that just before halftime.

Things got serious immediately we stepped in for the second half of the game. Arne Slot was still in the dressing room when we scored just 20 seconds into the second half, thanks to a fabulous goal from Ekitike.

You would think Liverpool would go ahead to calmly win this game without conceding a goal. However, Newcastle stepped up and made things really tough for Liverpool. They got a goal in 57th minute and scored another in the 88th minute to equalize.

At this point, Liverpool fans were already pissed off with the weakness of our defence. Our defense has been very shaky this since. This is the third game in a row where our backline got exploited massively.

Thankfully, we still managed to bag a goal in the 90+10 minute, just a minute before full-time, to get a win and bag all 3 point.

I will happily take this win because we deserve it. We pushed on until the last minute. However, I'm quite worried about our squad depth. That's exactly why I'm looking forward to what will happen this last week of the transfer window.
