Few days ageI was watching a video on Facebook. In that video, a young lady was sitting inside a car with her boyfriend. She looked straight into his eyes and said, “If you don’t have money again, I will leave you. If you cannot pay my bills, I will walk away. I’m only here because of your money.”
And I was like, “God! What is this world turning into?”
It really touched my heart. That moment, something opened in my mind. I understood why many marriages in this 21st century do not last.
Let me tell you the truth — as a guy who wants a good and peaceful marriage, this kind of thing is a big red flag. You don’t need a prophet to know that this is danger. If the woman you want to marry is already telling you to your face that she will leave you once money stops, my brother, that’s your chance to walk away.
If it were me, I would quietly stop the car and ask her to come down. And that would be the last day she ever enters my life.
But the sad part is that many young men see this kind of red flag and still go ahead. They think she will change. They think love will fix everything. But love is not blind.
If your love is blind, your marriage will suffer.
