Hello beautiful humans!
Kenny Palurintano here, with a special PSA.
Over the last couple of weeks, multiple artists I know have been approached with crypto scams.
One was told the person had a Bitcoin tip for him, but he had to go to a certain site to get it, and then the site wanted $300 in order to unlock the $3000
Two others were told that their art was wanted for a big digital gallery showing.. they just had to pay to mint the NFTs on some random site(s) - also trying to take $300.
If someone reaches out about anything like this, 99% it's a scam. Here's a couple key reminders & things to check: 1. To send you crypto, nobody ever needs anything but your public receiving address. 2. DON'T CLICK LINKS FROM RANDOS!!! Put the url into presearch, and try it with "is a scam?" and "_ reviews" 3. When in doubt, ask someone you know & trust, who knows about crypto. 4. If you have to ask, it's probably a scam.
