My Grandfather's 88th Birthday | Cumpleaños #88 de mi Abuelo

# English Hello Hivers of the World! Happy Tuesday to all of you. I hope this week is going great for you. I want to tell you that this weekend we had an important celebration at home. On November 5th my maternal grandfather turned 88 years old and my mom and I decided to organize a small gathering for him. To start with we would cook his favorite food, so my brother made an exquisite baked pork leg. He had to prepare it a day in advance, that is, on Saturday and on Sunday he got up at 6:00 A.M. and put it in the oven. I made the baked potatoes and my mom took care of the rest. I made the cake early in the morning and in the afternoon after lunch I decorated it. My mom had sent out some snacks so I had to go get them. Each one did his homework and as a team we were able to make my grandfather celebrate his day with the details he likes the most. Although for my grandfather this day is not so nice, because my grandmother died 2 years ago that same day, we managed to have a nice time and distract him. Here are the pictures of this day. Quiero contarles que este fin de semana en casa tuvimos una celebración importante. El 05 de noviembre mi abuelo materno cumplió 88 años y entre mi mamá y yo decidimos organizarle una pequeña reunión. Para empezar cocinaríamos su comida favorita, así que mi hermano hizo un pernil horneado exquisito. Él tuvo que prepararlo con un día de anticipación, es decir, el sábado y el domingo se levanto a las 6:00 A.M y lo coloco en el horno. Yo hice las papas horneadas y mi mamá se encargo del resto. Yo prepare la torta temprano en la mañana y en la tarde luego de almorzar la decore. Mi mamá había mandado a hacer unos pasapalos (snacks) así que tuve que ir a buscarlos. Cada uno hizo su tarea y como equipo logramos que mi abuelo celebrara su día con los detalles que más le gustan. Aunque para mi abuelo este día no sea tan lindo, porque mi abuela ese mismo día hace 2 años murió, logramos que pasara un rato agradable y se distrajera.
