The Hunter silver bar
Scottsdale's Hunter bar is portrayed as a heroic and fearless warrior. The silver cross emblazoned on his breast plate identifies this imposing figure who fights on the side of God, at the same time wards off demonic frontal attacks. The identity of this man not known but may have been chosen by his brotherhood, trained from his youth to be a warrior-priest in similar lines of the Templar or Hospitalers. Yet his enemy is neither man nor country but wages a spiritual war against the dark forces that sets itself up against the kingdom of Heaven.

How quaint. I think this is a slight out-of-theme departure from Scottsdale's design team of the 2024 Monster Collection, unless this is a noble warrior have 'Gone rogue.' So when the term ‘Monster Hunter’ comes along what character would first come to mind?
A) Ghost Busters B) Gandalf the Grey C) The Scooby Doo Gang D) BLADE Vampire hunter E) Alien Mission Specialist Ripley F} Von Helsing G) Other, reply in the comments, who and why?
Well, if you guessed F) Van Helsing, we are on the same wavelength, and in my thinking we harken back to the original character in Bram Stoker's 1897 gothic horror novel 'Dracula'. Meanwhile Hollywood has a very different adaptation in their Van Helsing action adventure movie.

And as expected Hollywood upgrades the old professor Abraham Von Helsing to the strapping younger Monster hunter starring X-Men star Huge Jackman with co-star Kate Beckinsale from the Underworld franchise of Vampire vs Werewolves action horror series into this 2004 Action horror feature. Did this Star power pushed this film into the heaven’s and into the hearts of the audience? Let’s say I was glad not having to have wasted paying much to see this with the exception of getting this thrift store DVD for $2 CAD. The majority of Critics did not spare their flames. Pretty cool action scenes, and a tad overdone with the special effects.
If you’re an action adventure purist then this could be your ticket for an evening of distracted entertainment. Kate, I enjoy your forte but you were better off sticking to Underworld.

We know what these are. The undead denizens the populate the post-apocalyptic world leaving what struggling few try to survive at least until the credit roll. At this point there had been so many Zombie flicks the public have gave up due to Zombie fatigue. I sort of grew up on the classic George Romero's, Night of the Living dead with its spin offs and it's budget retro style cinematography.
As for my favorite choice among the more up-to-date fare; The first three seasons of The Walking Dad TV series and since then everything else I renamed to "1001 Ways to kill a Zombie."
Yeah, Zombie fatigue.

The Scary Cost of Living story: Doom Spenders.
From my latest readings. Maclean’s Magazine writer Courtney Shea, The Doom Spender’s captured my interest in how the generations following me are coping with the cost of living in Canada. Already, I am concerned with the future prospects of both my sons finding their place in the world. There are so many big changes, no one is sure how their lives will pan out.
The article follows a Gen Z 28 year old woman named Hillary, a University graduate in Public Policy out of the University of Guelph. Then attending Queen’s University for her post-graduate Masters. Her Toronto job provides a salary of $3,200 CAD/month while her apartment rental is $2,200 CAD/month, I can see that this alone already puts her back to the wall. The cost of groceries is increasing relentless. Forcing her to accumulate an ever increasing balance on her credit card until it no longer worked regardless how much she scrutinized her spending.
Every month I rearrange my desktop.
Twilight seems most happiest having a Scottsdale bar in his paws.

Currently, Canadians carry a consumer debt of $2.5 trillion dollars in 2025. The household debt-to-Income ratio of 175%, the most in any G7 Nation! It's no wonder the following generations are so disenfranchised. That’s scary! 👻
It's another reason why I stack!
