Okay so there is this girl, let's call her Nana. Nana has this group of friends, the kind her parents side eye every time they pull up outside the house. You know the type that is loud, free and living like life is a tiktok trend. But to Nana they are everything, her ride or die, her only escape from her strict, "be a good" girl home.
Her parents have heard the rumors, that Tricia stays out late, that Ama talks about teachers and that the whole group is not a good influence. So everytime Nana steps out, it's plenty questions. "Where are you going? Who are you going with? Are you one of them now?"
But here is the funny thing, Nana loves these girls,they are the only ones who get her,the only ones who make her feel alive but she's stuck between keeping her parents quiet and keeping her friends close.
Her Friends are tired of it, they are like " Nana speakfor yourself! Tell your parents you are grown! " But Nana doesn't know how, she's not trying to choose sides, she just wants both. And then it happens, the girls decide she's not loyal and she's too scared to be real so they pull the ultimate group move, they "ostracized the ostrich".they kicked her out of the circle, just like that.
Immediately they start leaving her on read in the group chat, they don't call, check up on her. Nothing. And Nana? She's left alone with no friends, no peace at home and a whole lot of confusion.
One day she is in the group chat the next day she's on red they don't call they don't check up on her nothing and Nana she's left alone.
So much for "sisterhood", right. Sometimes, the people you think see you are the first to look away.
