The art of selflove💕

Hello ladies, hope you having a great week. Loving yourself is that one thing we hear all the time but rarely unpack. It sounds simple yet it can be surprisenly tricky. People say phrases like " just love yourself" as if it's as easy as flipping a switch. But what does that actually mean and how do you do it?. ![1000225727.jpg](https://img.leopedia.io/DQmZDF96uW3bM4pA5jdkFzgc68QreWLhUycrNCjCgJoqC4T/1000225727.jpg) I think Love is universal, but the way we express it to others and ourselves is deeply personal. I've never thought deeply of how I love me till I saw the weekly topic. but taking a deeper lookI realized I have been doing it all along, just not in grand or dramatic ways. It's more like quiet, everyday gestures that add up. ![1000245560.jpg](https://img.leopedia.io/DQmPFu3yg2ieS4A2F8hK7Hj7W1AWNiPUpmTjR1WWXcfr6w9/1000245560.jpg) For starters, I've never really hated my self but also I wouldn't say I've reached peak self-love yet, it's work in progress 😊. A turning point came when my babe said to me "forgive yourself". In that moment I brushed it off, it seemed to me forgiving myself is just a way to move past my mistakes. But later it hit me, that's self love, letting go of guilt, accepting that I'm only human after all and refusing to punish myself endlessly for things I can't change. Then there are the little things, the treats, the rewards. Often after hitting a goal, I buy my favourite snack, have a solo movie night, or cook a meal I love. It's not just celebration, it's acknowledgement, My own way of telling myself "hey you did well, here's something to remind you that you deserve good things". Even the smallest acts like wearing an outfit that makes me feel good and confident, or saying no to things that drain me. They're all tiny love letters to myself. ![1000089808.jpg](https://img.leopedia.io/DQmZ29YncJXgYaXggSjXkLnZEyVge6Ek9s1Wz1Ggh2zNWhj/1000089808.jpg) I think we all practice self love, whether we realise it or not, maybe it's laughing at your own silly mistakes, giving yourself a break after a 24/7 grind or buying yourself something you've always wanted, going out with friends, visiting that one place you always wanted to go or get a new hairstyle, you know anything that makes you happy. It's not always about social media worthy affirmations, but well if that's you thing go for it. Rather it's About the quiet consistent choices that says "I matter" ![1000244581.jpg](https://img.leopedia.io/DQmUtnvyhQoomb1VxoXNRErdY5Bdrn7zJZXoFPYkQdG7oJd/1000244581.jpg) So if you wondering whether you are doing it right or not, don't stress there's no rule to it, you version of selflove might be different from others and that's okay. The point is to keep showing up for your own self not necessarily perfectly but on purpose. Just take one step at a time. ❤️
