Back in my ND days, I worked on this painting as one of my class assignments. The focus was on something very simple a pepper. At first, it looked ordinary, but once I started painting, I realized it carried more weight than I expected. On canvas, it wasn’t just food anymore, it became a subject of art.
This work helped me practice observation in a deeper way. I had to pay close attention to the curves, the glow of the surface, and how light played across it. The rich red color was intense to capture, and blending it with the darker tones around it really tested my patience.
Looking back, I like how this piece shows that beauty doesn’t always come from grand or complex things. Sometimes the smallest, everyday objects can hold meaning if we pause, study them, and bring them to life through art.
