There's fire 🔥 on the mountain

As it stands now, the Nigerians who do not know the danger signal in the current football situation of the country are definitely the ones living on another planet, who have neither visited home nor have any connection to what’s happening.🥹

Mehn, there’s fire on the mountain, and this fire is either going to be quenched in the next few days or it will burn down every football lover in Nigeria. When I say every football lover, I mean even those who do not support the national team, the Super Eagles, but rather focus on league clubs or other national teams like England, Portugal, or Argentina because of their favorite players. One way or the other, if we (Nigeria) fail to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, it’s going to affect everyone.

It’s the international break currently, at the time of writing this, and for most continents, this period is being used to play World Cup qualifier matches, and the African continent is no exception. That’s where my nation, Nigeria, belongs.

Currently, we are 4th on the table in Group C with just 7 points, while South Africa are cruising comfortably, sitting at number one with a whopping 15 points.

You know, the group leader at the end of the qualifiers automatically qualifies for the 2026 World Cup, and as it stands now, the green light is shining brightly on South Africa.

Even before the previous qualifier matches, we had already started using calculators to figure out our possible chances of qualifying for the World Cup, but things have been going from bad to worse. In fact, they have spoiled a lot, and right now, we are seriously praying and asking God to favor us in the remaining games of the qualifiers series.

But does God work in football? According to a well-learned and controversial Nigerian clergy, Abel Damina, God has no say in football. He says God gave men the ability to play, and it is up to them to determine victory or failure. Lol.

Anyway, the match between Nigeria and Rwanda is coming up tomorrow, and it is one of the biggest determining factors for the Super Eagles’ qualification for the World Cup.

Today, South Africa will be playing against Lesotho, and this is also a very big determining factor in the hope of the Super Eagles qualifying, because a loss for South Africa works in our favor 😅.

We Nigerians just love using calculators to calculate how the Super Eagles can still qualify. Lol.
