Where do I refer to as my comfort place?
Is it my physical home?
Is it a person?
Is it an unrealistic scene my mind travels to?
These and many more are the questions my mind pondered on when I came across this topic, and funny enough, almost all of these questions are practically connected to where I find comfort.
Home, my comfort place:
Literally, each day, one of the things I look forward to is the close of the day when I get to close from work and head home, where I feel very comfortable with the little space I'm managing. The ultimate part of it is when I make food, eat, and lay on my very comfortable bed. This is my comfort place — the peace and comfort it gives me are out of this world.
Sometimes, the way I rush to retire to my bed every night may make it look to other people as though my bed is my wife. Lol. It is just the comfort I feel at home.
Another example of this nature is when I travel to my home villa to visit my family. I'm not married yet and do not have children, so my parents and siblings are considered my immediate family for now. I feel very comfortable staying in that house. To make it even more exciting, we recently moved into our very spacious new house, and the feeling of the new home has been more than comfortable.
Is my comfort place in a person?
Okay, listen — I truly find comfort in the arms of some people around me. Not so many of them, but there are a few people with whom I feel very comfortable talking, both virtually and in real life. Although, I limit this often in order not to let it lead to something unwanted. Confused? You better stay confident. Lol.
Unrealistic scenes that my mind travels to:
Is it only me who finds comfort in allowing my mind to travel far, imagining things that are not there as though they're already real? Hold on — is that not the biblical faith the Christian religion talks about? Oh yeah, I'm fond of seeing myself very far ahead, in good scenes that I crave to bring into reality, and I do work towards them too.
I can think very far ahead about a project I'm working on; I can picture how smooth and perfect the ending of the project will be, and this gives me good feelings. It makes me feel comfortable enough to keep having the dream and, most importantly, to keep chasing the dream.
