Without mincing words, I see myself as very poor when it comes to time management, but sometimes I give myself accolades when I see that I actually keep my various activities within the time I scheduled for them and how worried I become whenever I'm out of track doing something that's wasting my time. So, the thoughts often come as a balanced one, and this doesn't make me judge myself too harshly for not keeping to time. Did I end up not saying any reasonable thing in this paragraph? Lol
How I Manage My Time
List out the works to be done: My day is usually filled with work, and this comprises both online and offline tasks. At the start of the day, I make these works my priority, and they stay at the top of my memory where I constantly get reminded of them throughout the day. Honestly, I do not actually assign a specific time to these tasks; I only have it in mind that by the end of the morning, I should be done with some kind of work, and the same goes for the afternoon and evening. So, anytime I feel like the space scheduled is running out and I haven’t done what I’m supposed to do, my mind reminds me, and I find a way to tackle it. Although, sometimes, life has its way of chopping off my time with unforeseen circumstances.
I don't attend or entertain uninvited functions or call-outs: I have a principle where I value my time a lot, and at a point in my life, I was measuring my time as $1 per 30 minutes, and I find it very hard to waste my time on unwanted things.
What do I mean? You see those calls where a family member or friend just calls you to their house or a place just to do nothing? I find it very hard to attend, especially on days when I have a lot on my desk. I’m not saying I don’t spend time with family or friends — I do, but that can be scheduled, not just on a random show-up. If I go out to spend my day outside the schedule I have for the day, I’ll end up not utilizing the day well.
Moreover, I plan my days carefully. My time is precious to me, and because of this, you will barely see me at an event I wasn’t invited to. Does this mean I don’t attend parties? I do — a lot, in fact — but they all come with invitations where I plan towards such dates and map out time to attend.
To manage my time well, I also have time to catch fun: This sounds funny, but it’s what I do. I know myself well enough to understand that I cannot do without catching fun in between the works of the day, so I intentionally map out time to enjoy those pleasures. If I don’t set out time, I would end up chopping off the entire day catching fun.
Just like on days when I watch football, I usually set out those 2 hours as my fun time, while I use the remaining hours of the day — or at least within the working hours of my target — to seriously face the tasks of the day 😅.
This article is already long, but I still feel like adding my #ttt entry to it, so below are my collections for the week:
Time Na Money by Mike Okri
https://youtu.be/7Lf3U4LSErM?si=jWu2xnWxl3fdrBJ7
This music is ancient and golden. It emphasizes how valuable time is and encourages people to make good use of it. This song didn’t make sense to most of us when we were young, but now, the lyrics have sunk deep into our heads.
Summer Adina by Chief Priest, Boypee, and Zoro

Last week or two weeks ago, I wrote about this, and I just can’t get enough of this masterpiece. This song may not be rated very high, but I love it to the core, especially with its highlife-like beat. It’s very cool — a money-talking song.

There’s something about this song, and there’s something about its video that makes it stand out among many. Initially, I didn’t like this song, but when it was used as a challenge for people to win a $10k prize and a group of guys — very unique in their work clothes — won with their dance, the song became a blast. I’m going to settle down and write about the too much joy loaded in this video.
Thanks for reading.
