Yesterday, August 18, 2024, was my birthday, and this year I decided to spend it in the most simple and meaningful way. Even though I didn't host a big party or go out to celebrate at various places, I still felt special in my own way. I started the day by going to the temple to make merit. This merit-making wasn't just for bringing good fortune to myself, but also as a way to express gratitude for life and all the good things that have happened over the past year. After the merit-making, I felt peaceful and very happy.
When I arrived home, I didn't expect a little surprise waiting for me. My family had prepared a birthday cake for me. It was a moment that made me feel both surprised and touched at the same time. Seeing the cake that had been lovingly and thoughtfully prepared by the people I love made this day even more special. Even though it was a small surprise, it was filled with warmth and happiness that I will remember for a long time.
After I blew out the candles and made a wish for this year to be filled with happiness and success, we began sharing the little joys by cutting the cake and giving pieces to everyone. Everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Seeing the smiles and happiness on the faces of my loved ones as they enjoyed the cake we shared made me feel even more delighted and touched. Every bite they took seemed to be filled with love and the bond we have with each other. It wasn't just about eating cake; it was a celebration of the relationships and love we share.
Even though it was a simple cake, sharing it today turned into a meaningful and important moment. I feel lucky to have people who love and care about me by my side on this special day. It's a day that will stay in my memory for a long time and makes me realize that life is full of small, valuable joys.❤️
