¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, me he dado cuenta que últimamente me he convertido en alguien no disfruta mucho las películas románticas, o mejor dicho las historias pseudo románticas, no sé a ciencia cierta si se trata de la poca innovación que hay en cuanto a la trama en si, o si se deba a una falta de motivación por crear películas del género romántico que trasciendan de lo básico; no con esto digo que no haya historias actuales que sean buenas y disfrutables, sino que se han vuelto algo escasas. Hoy vengo a criticar una película que intentaron promocionar como romance, y que al final habría sido mejor que quitaran ese elemento de la trama, así que hablemos de ***Amores Materialistas 💵💖.***

💖 SINOPSIS || SYNOPSIS 💵
**Lucy** es una joven casamentera de Nueva York, famosa y exitosa en el mundo de la citas por tener un número casi perfecto de parejas concertadas, ella parece haber encontrado la fórmula ideal para encontrar el amor y es la razón por la que sus clientas la adoran y recomiendan, sin embargo eso no evitará que se vea envuelta en una triangulo amoroso que la hará replantearse su visión de la pareja ideal, y es que por un lado tenemos a **Harry** un guapo financiero multimillonario que representa todo lo que ella busca en un hombre, y por otro lado tenemos a **John** su exnovio, quien se dedica sin mucho éxito al mundo actoral.

💖 EL AMOR VISTO COMO LISTA DE SUPERMERCADO || LOVE SEEN AS A SHOPPING LIST 💵
De verdad ustedes no se imaginan todo lo que yo sufrí con ésta película 🤣, pero arranquemos con lo que no me pareció tan malo que fue la estética. La película desde el inicio plantea el materialismo que existe detrás de la idea del amor, como éste se ha convertido en una búsqueda de perfección en la que predominan aspectos superficiales como la estatura, la apariencia física, la profesión, los ingresos mensuales y demás aspectos; es por esta razón que se entiende que la estética que manejan sea simplista, en ocasiones old money y muy sobria, al menos en ciertos momentos de la historia, pues hay otros en donde esto cambia, hay un poco más de color, ruido visual e incluso el vesturaio de la protagonista se transforma.

En este sentido, estos me parecen que son elementos que fueron bien trabajados, al igual que el ritmo que llevaba la película (al menos de manera parcial), en ocasiones más lentos para representar la tranquilidad y seguridad que transmitía el personaje de Harry, y otras veces más rápido y cercano, reflejando la nostalgia de la protagonista en relación a John. Sin embargo, en un punto de la historia éste ritmo la termina haciendo aburrida, cuando la película llega a la cima de su conflicto, (que una vez aclaro no tiene nada que ver con los intereses amorosos), éste se siente insuficiente e incluso opacado por todo lo demás que se ha construido alrededor, y en parte porque no se le da el foco necesario.

Y es así como llegamos al problema de la película, y es que no debió ser romántica, ¿en qué sentido? pues como bien dije al inicio, ésta película busca reflejar la vanidad detrás del amor actual, en donde el foco está puesto en lo monetario y superficial, lo que ha hecho que la “búsqueda del amor verdadero” se convierta en un checklist de supermercado, y ésto se enfatiza constantemente con el término *“él/ella cumple con tus requerimientos”*. La misma protagonista habla de las citas como **acuerdos financieros**, y es muy frontal al momento de decir que ella misma busca *un hombre absurdamente rico* como base central de todos sus requisitos de la pareja ideal.

Por lo que habiendo construido un personaje con éstas características que es el reflejo absoluto del mensaje que intenta transmitir la historia, es bastante evidente que debes hacer que ella llegue a un punto de reflexión que haga que en consecuencia la audiencia también encuentre esa reflexión, y ésto no era necesario que fuese a través de los intereses amorosos (sobre todo cuando son tan polarizados), pues lo que terminas logrando es dar un mensaje que **no se siente real ni lógico**, más aún cuando la historia ya tenía una forma de hacer que el personaje principal tuviese su punto de no retorno, y despertara de ésta burbuja de “amor superficial”.

La trama busca enfocarse constantemente en el romance de la protagonista, y eso está bien porque estas hablando del *amor materialista*, por lo que es necesario transitar en el romance, más no quedarse en él, es decir: la protagonista debió quedar sola. ¿La razón de ésto?, ella ya había alcanzado la reflexión de la película a través de los sucesos que vive su clienta, a los cuales cabe decir que se les debió dar más énfasis pues allí era en donde estaba el verdadero mensaje de la película: **el riesgo detrás de solo enfocarnos en lo superficial, que luce como perfecto, pero es peligroso**. Si la película se hubiese quedado con ésto, les aseguro que habría sido maravillosa, pero como siempre se usó el romance como herramienta de éxito comercial.
‼️**SPOILER**:‼️ No era necesario hacer que ella se quedara con el mediocre de su ex, para lograr que la audiencia alcanzara la reflexión que quería, personalmente considero que ninguno de los dos interés amorosos era el adecuado para ella, por razones diferentes el uno del otro.

‼️**SPOILER**:‼️ It was not necessary to have her stay with her mediocre ex in order for the audience to reach the reflection she wanted. Personally, I believe that neither of her love interests was right for her, for different reasons.

Si ya viste ésta película y la disfrutaste me alegro muchisimo por ti, porque yo la pase terriblemente mal cuando ví hacia donde apuntaban los hechos, si aún no tuviste la oportunidad de verla y quieres formarte tu propia opinión, pues adelante eres libre de verla, pero si me lo preguntan a mí, yo les diría que mejor que ahorren esas casi 2 horas de su vida 🤣.
