If you are visiting Vancouver in the winter, one of the things I recommend is visiting Cypress Mountain during a sunset when the sky is clear. You can go skiing/snowboarding, or you can take a ski lift to the top of the mountain, and an astonishing view will open before your eyes: the bright orange sky reflected in the ocean and the mountain tops.
