Episode 18 Summary 🎮
Welcome to a new Pokémon Opalo episode everyone!
This episode was so good, both in terms of action and battling, but more importantly in terms of story plot! Let's break down what happened.
My adventure began in Galerna. I met up with Apolo just outside the Gym, and he invited me to a more private place because he wanted to tell me something really important. As soon as I got there, Apolo thanked me for coming and… challenged me to a battle!!!
This was the first time I faced Apolo, and even though his Pokémon were strong, I easily dominated. After the battle, it was time for the big reveal, and oh boy, it was a HUGE one! Turns out Apolo is planning to run for president of the Cerifa Region, and as his childhood friend, he wanted me to know before it becomes public. Apolo is a cool dude with good intentions, so let’s see how this will play out!
After my meeting with Apolo, it was time to hit the road for Tempest, the city where the seventh Cerifa Region Gym is located. To get there, I had to cross the "Aquatunnel", an undersea tunnel connecting Galerna and Tempest. The tunnel was beautiful… and of course, full of trainers! Can’t forget that my rival Mundanez was waiting for me there and challenged me to a battle.
As always, I easily kicked his ass. And just as I was about to say bye to Mundanez, Prof. Ebano came charging in and insisted I follow him to the Tempest City laboratory. He claimed he had info about the visions me and Gala keep seeing.
A few minutes later, I arrived at Tempest City, rushed to the lab and met up with Prof. Ebano, Gala, and the Head Researcher/Gym Leader of Tempest Peony! We talked to Peony about the visions, and she explained that this isn’t the first time this is happening, and it definitely can’t be a good sign.
She also shared some wild lore about Astrem, the legendary Pokémon of Cerifa, and how it once stopped the war between Natives and settlers. But for interfering with history, Astrem was punished and locked away by the creator of the universe!
After that insane story, Peony insisted we climb the Astral Tower, a newly discovered temple where people once worshipped Astrem. She said we might find answers there, so me and Gala rushed out full speed. But guess what?!? Team Gatling beat us to the tower!
That’s right. As soon as we exited the lab, a worker came running up and asked for our help, claiming that Team Gatling had taken over the Astral Tower. Of course, we said yes… but I saved the game right after that, cause I knew a loooong adventure was about to begin and I was already playing for quite some time!
And that pretty much sums up today’s episode. Lots of battling, lots of fun, and a story that keeps getting deeper and more intense. Can’t wait to find out what happens next at the Astral Tower!
