Time to announce those who qualify for the MemeHive Curation Contest for this week!

The first entry is from @ladyaryastark. In Theoretical or Real Democracy, she talked about the discrepancy between democracy as a concept and democracy in practice. She made use of Paraguay as a case study.

Her post reminds me of the book written by Hans-Hermann Hoppe, a libertarian thinker. His book was published in 2001. In Democracy: The God That Failed, Hoppe argued that democracy, far from being the pinnacle of political organization, inherently fosters short-term exploitation and social decay. It appears that the author prefers either a civil government ruled by kings or a stateless natural order based on private property. For him, the latter options provide greater stability and prosperity.

The second post is from @princessluv. In her article, she discussed the tension between fear of deportation and the ability to report unfair wage practices. She emphasized the need to separate labor law enforcement from immigration enforcement. In this way, this will protect vulnerable workers and will encourage them to seek justice without fear of repercussions.

The third entry is from @valchiz. In Success and Its Social Price, he discussed that achieving financial success is not that simple, as many would think. He explored the complex social dynamics that accompany financial success. He gave particular attention to how wealth can change relationships and perceptions, leading to feelings of neglect from former friends as well as the emergence of opportunistic behaviors. Such is the social price of financial success. Though I haven't experienced such an insight, I heard many similar stories that confirm the blogger's analysis.

Next to @valchiz, I could not dismiss @marajah's post. I think her article about Hive Meetup deserves a place among the eligible entries this week. I love the community spirit of the article.

The last eligible entry is from @tanzil2024. This time, his story is about his visit to Xincheng Binhe Park in Changping District, Beijing. As expected, he shared beautiful landscapes, bodies of water, and the green environment. Despite the cloudy weather, he highlighted the natural attraction and recreational opportunities of the place. The content creator expressed his future intention to explore some top tourist spots of the district once the temperature starts to change.

That's our short recap for this week's contest. It's 1:42 AM here.

Thanks to all the above contributors for sharing your thoughts and experiences.

The winners will be announced tomorrow!
