This Bulgarian folk holiday is celebrated every year on June 24th and coincides with the birth of St. John the Baptist 🙏.
This year, I decided to celebrate in a special way – together with my daughter, we immersed ourselves in the festive spirit at Samovodska Charshiya 🧺🌺. The air was vibrant, filled with people, laughter, and the fragrant scent of herbs – like a scene from a fairytale 🧚♀️.
At the heart of the celebration stood a large herbal wreath 🌾🌿. According to tradition, passing under it on Enyovden brings good health for the rest of the year. Hand in hand, with smiles and hope, we walked beneath it – and felt nature's quiet blessing 🍀.
Unexpectedly, we ran into my mother and my nephew – a small but joyful surprise. After the ritual, we went to the nearby park where the children played freely, their laughter echoing through the trees, while we watched with quiet contentment 🌈.
