My challenges and mistakes when setting up a witness node | ESP-ENG

 These past days have been intense in terms of learning. While trying to set up the node, we ran into two realities: 1. Syncing from scratch with the Genesis block 1. Downloading a copy of the network from a server like #gtg So what happened? I’ve tried a few configurations, but I don’t know where things break because it always fails—missing files or bad sync—so I end up starting from zero again.  I’ve had a lot of failures. Following PeakD guides gave me ideas, but I couldn’t get things working. Since I know nothing about this, I’ve been using AI to guide me, but I’ve also stumbled hard—lost all progress by blindly following AI. Not questioning actions or reading its suggestions were mistakes that cost me hours of work.  I’ve tried several ways to create the keys, but for some reason they don’t work. I didn’t find any guide that explains these details either. Other issues: HIVE comes with default directories for installation. At first, it went to my root disk where the OS is, not to the free M.2 storage. Another thing—I had to mount my disk, and when I changed Hive’s paths, the AI didn’t catch that, so it placed files on my root disk and other places, causing data loss. The network couldn’t find the libraries, so it started downloading from scratch again. These points were crucial to understand after several attempts. Also, it seems downloading the SNAPSHOT from #gtg has speed limits. I have over 400 Mbps and download other files faster, but not from #gtg’s server. There’s still a lot to learn. For now, I’ve patched some mistakes I made when starting the witness node setup process, but the config.ini file and the keys are still a challenge I haven’t solved yet—but I’m trying.

 Estos días han sido intensos de aprender, al intentar establecer el nodo nos topamos con 2 realidades: 1. Sincronizar desde 0 el bloque Genesis 1. Descargar una copia de la red desde un servidor como #gtg Que a pasado entonces, he probado algunas configuraciones pero no se donde se rompe todo porque siempre da fallos, falta archivos o no se sincronizo bien entonces toca empezar todo de 0.  He tenido muchos fallos, seguir las guías de peakd me han dado ideas pero no he podido lograr funcionen, como no se nada del tema me guio con la IA para avanzar aunque también me he tropezado fuerte al perder todo el progreso al seguir a ciegas a la IA, no cuestionar las acciones o leer lo que recomienda han sido errores que han costado varias horas de trabajo.  He usado varias formas de crear las llaves pero por alguna razón no funcionan, tampoco vi alguna guía explique estos detalles. Otros problemas que HIVE trae directorios de fabrica donde se instalara, al inicio se iban a mi disco raíz donde tengo el SO, no al disco m.2 libre de almacenamiento, otro detalle necesitaba montar mi disco, cambiaba las rutas de Hive entonces esto la IA no notaba haciendo que coloque archivos en mi disco, en la raíz entre otros sitios lo que causaba perdida de datos, la red no entienda donde están las librerías por lo que empezaba de 0 la descarga. Estos puntos fueron esenciales entender luego de varios intentos, también parece que descargar la SNAPSHOT desde #gtg tiene limites de velocidad, tengo mas de 400 que descarga a mas velocidad otros archivos pero no puede descargar mas rápido desde el servidor de #gtg, existen muchas cosas por aprender de momento he parchado algunos errores que cometo al empezar el proceso de levantar la configuración del nodo testigo, pero aun el archivo config.ini, las llaves son un reto que no logro solucionar pero se hace el intento.  ---
