Yesterday I woke up quite late after a heavy night out + Karaoke. Very enjoyable and made plenty of friends. Instead of hitting lots and lots of areas I just aimed for the Vatican museum, which was very impressive. So much to see, so if you do visit 3 hours is a good timeframe. I’m the type of person that likes to take my time, reading up on each exhibition.
The Sistine chapel was absolutely breathtaking, and the people inside gave great entertainment. The constant attempt at photos then the security chasing them around slowly. Some rules will always be broken and the attempt to quell it…
Then in the evening I did a walking tour. Ghosts and mysteries of Rome. The dark raining weather leant itself nicely. Overall pretty interesting, a few peculiar characters, and it reminded me of just how brutal life was. I am eternally grateful to be living in 2022.
