Tomar café cura el alma. No sé si ese dicho existe, pero seguro sería algo que pensaría mi papá, quien es adicto al café. No solía salir mucho por cuestiones de trabajo, pero el 1 de mayo, Día del Trabajador en Venezuela, me tomé mi día con soda... o mejor dicho, con un moka.

Mi amigo Sam me invitó a pasar el rato, y por casualidad nos encontramos con mi amigo César. Ellos me compraron café, y yo me encargué de las galletas. Empezaron a hablar de cosas que yo ni entendía; ya había agotado mi batería social, así que solo estaba ahí, pero era agradable estar. Después de un rato, tenía antojo de jugo, pero comprar jugo en una panadería es dejar un ojo de la cara. Terminé con el rabo entre las patas, comprando una Malta retornable, ya saben, de las más baratas. Ni modo.
>My friend Sam invited me to hang out, and by chance, we ran into my friend César. They bought me coffee, and I took care of the cookies. They started talking about things I didn’t even understand—my social battery was already drained, so I was just there, but it felt nice to be present. After a while, I craved juice, but buying juice at a bakery costs an arm and a leg. I ended up swallowing my pride and buying a returnable Malta—you know, one of the cheapest ones. Oh well.
