TBT - Job

Holi, aunque hoy no es jueves, les traigo otro TBT, con historia incluida. Resulta que en mi segundo trabajo de este año (el mismo del que les hablé en mi publicación pasada), sucedieron varias cosas. La experiencia fue realmente pésima; no me llevaba muy bien con mi jefa, que además era la encargada de cobrar en caja. La situación era incómoda, porque asumía que, por ser mujer, me tocaría encargarme de todo, mientras que mis compañeros apenas hacían nada. >Hey! Even though today isn't Thursday, I'm bringing you another Throwback Thursday, with a story included. It turns out that in my second job this year (the same one I mentioned in my last post), a lot of things happened. Honestly, I had a terrible experience—I didn’t get along well with my boss, who was also the one in charge of the cash register. It was uncomfortable because she assumed that, just because I was a woman, I had to handle everything, while my male coworkers barely did anything. Al principio me esforcé, porque me gusta hacer las cosas lo mejor posible, pero al notar que no valoraban mi trabajo, dejé de intentarlo tanto. Siempre digo algo que considero fundamental: "Mientras mejor me trates, mejor trabajo". No sé cómo esperan que alguien trabaje motivado, se esfuerce y tenga iniciativa si lo tratan como un trapo viejo. >At first, I did my best because I like doing things properly, but when I realized that my efforts weren’t being appreciated, I stopped trying so hard. There’s something I always say: "The better you treat me, the better I work." I don’t understand how they expect someone to stay motivated, put in effort, and take initiative if they treat them like an old rag. Estas fotos son de uno de los tantos días en que llegué temprano, linda y arreglada, y me quedé esperando afuera.
