Hola, mis amigos. Un fraterno saludo para todos. Hoy quiero hablarles de alguien a quien admiro desde que hablé con ella por primera vez.
La palabra Diva proviene del idioma Italiano y significa Diosa, dígase de una mujer que reúne en sí un grupo de cualidades, incluida la inmortalidad. En términos artísticos, se refiere a una mujer celebridad, especialmente en el mundo del las artes y el espectáculo, que destaca no solo por su talento excepcional, sino también por su carisma, elegancia, glamour y, a menudo, una personalidad exigente o temperamental.
Dejando fuera el tema de ser inmortal, no creo que exagere al decir que Maia es una Diva en potencia. Se sabe que cada persona es un mundo y luego están las personas que llevan adentro muchos mundos. Personas tocadas por una "entidad divina" que poseen en su haber muchos dones y talentos. Este es el caso de Mayrelis Ruíz Torres (Maia) @maiasun84 , una cubana que se desenvuelve con la ligereza de una mariposa por casi todas las artes. Ella tiene una capacidad de dar y crear asombrosa.
A Maia no la conozco en persona todavía, solo de las redes, pero ese abrazo que nos falta solo es cuestión de tiempo. No es necesaria la presencia física para conocerla y saber qué es una excelente persona, de esas que te abrazan el alma y no te sueltan la mano jamás. Hemos compartido charlas y confidencias a través de Messenger y Whatsapp. Hemos reído, llorado y hasta aconsejado, detalles que han fortalecido nuestra amistad.
Maia es madre de dos niños y vive en Aguacate, Madruga, Cuba. Es poeta, dramaturga, ilustradora, directora teatral , actriz titiritera e investigadora.Y por si no bastara, también es cantante. Quién la escucha, nunca más olvida su voz melodiosa, llena de pasión y contrastes. Para ella cantar es como respirar, no concibe la vida sin la música y el canto. Ama trabajar con niños y lo hace con entrega y pasión.
Maia es egresada del Instituto Superior de Artes, Universidad de las Artes, La Habana, Cuba. Licenciada en Arte Teatral, perfil Diseño Escénico, Facultad de Arte Teatral ISA. Fue profesora de Diseño Escénico; Profesora de Teoría y Apreciación del Arte en Escuela Nacional de Música; Especialista provincial de Artes Escénicas en la Dirección Provincial de Cultura de Mayabeque; Instructora de Literatura. Actualmente es Instructora de Teatro y Directora del Proyecto LUMINA Teatro de Figuras de nueva creación.
Es autora de varias piezas de dramaturgia para público infantil: La Casita de Azúcar (también en adaptación a guión radial y cuento), Las Sombrillas de Bayajá; Pelusín Cuentero o Quién sueña Tiene la Culpa.

Maia, a Potential Diva
Hello, my friends. A fraternal greeting to you all. Today I want to talk to you about someone I have admired since the first time I spoke with her.
The word Diva comes from the Italian language and means Goddess, referring to a woman who embodies a set of qualities, including immortality. In artistic terms, it refers to a female celebrity, especially in the world of arts and entertainment, who stands out not only for her exceptional talent but also for her charisma, elegance, glamour, and often a demanding or temperamental personality.
Setting aside the matter of being immortal, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that Maia is a potential Diva. It is said that every person is a world unto themselves, and then there are people who carry many worlds within them. People touched by a "divine entity" who possess many gifts and talents. This is the case of Mayrelis Ruíz Torres (Maia) @maiasun84, a Cuban woman who moves with the lightness of a butterfly through almost all the arts. She has an astonishing capacity to give and to create.
I haven't met Maia in person yet, only through social networks, but that hug we have yet to share is just a matter of time. Physical presence isn't necessary to get to know her and understand that she is an excellent person, one of those who hugs your soul and never lets go of your hand. We have shared conversations and confidences through Messenger and WhatsApp. We have laughed, cried, and even advised each other, details that have strengthened our friendship.
Maia is a mother of two children and lives in Aguacate, Madruga, Cuba. She is a poet, playwright, illustrator, theater director, puppeteer actress, and researcher. And as if that weren't enough, she is also a singer. Anyone who hears her never forgets her melodious voice, full of passion and contrasts. For her, singing is like breathing; she cannot conceive of life without music and song. She loves working with children and does so with dedication and passion.
Maia is a graduate of the Instituto Superior de Artes (University of the Arts), Havana, Cuba. She holds a Bachelor of Theater Arts, specializing in Scenic Design, from the Faculty of Theater Arts at ISA. She was a professor of Scenic Design; a professor of Theory and Art Appreciation at the Escuela Nacional de Música; a provincial specialist of Scenic Arts at the Provincial Directorate of Culture of Mayabeque; and a Literature Instructor. She is currently a Theater Instructor and Director of the newly created Project LUMINA Teatro de Figuras (Figure Theater).
She is the author of several plays for children: La Casita de Azúcar (also adapted for a radio script and story), Las Sombrillas de Bayajá; Pelusín Cuentero o Quién sueña Tiene la Culpa.
