Good day! Happy wednesday everyone and I believe your week is going great and you are meeting all your goals and targets for the week and of course your major tasks and duties are being taken care of. It's been so long since I last participated in the Splinterlands Art Contest and I just read that a few rules have been adjusted, I feel it's fair enough since other stuff has been included and accommodated and for the rules that seems a little challenging, I know it's for the greater benefits of everyone in the community and those participating in the contest so it's only normal and fair that everyone embraces these new changes. Thankfully I carefully read through the contest rules yet again to notice the slight changes and adjustment. So here is my entry, for this week I am participating with the ***Fungus Flinger*** card. It's been a while I made went through the Splinterlands market to pick or select favourite cards to make an art later, so this one just came from one of the long time saved cards I had in my files. I woke up and scrolled through the images among my files and picked this card for my participation today. At first I wanted to make a pencil sketch and coloured version of this art but along the line I changed my mind and decided to go digital instead.
Let me take you through my steps and the processes of this piece of art of mine.

# Step By Step Process
I started my art with pencil sketches though I didn't include that step here but I get better lineart and inspiration when I am sketching with pencil first before transferring it to digital piece.
So after the pencil sketch, I made a lineart of the sketch digitally with my favourite software for digital art.

I went further to fill in the basic and base colour of the fanart/card. This part I just selected complimentary colours from the original card, and then added it as the base colours, starting with the body, then the bomb and also the legs, though I wore it socks instead, I think it's cute and matches the upper body clothing I gave it

Here I finished the base colouring of the bomb, included the facials (eye, nose and lips) this time too, and then I completed the colouring of the socks and then the dots on it skin

The mushroom filling and colouring was part of this step and other necessary colouring I must have skipped, filling and lining the edges.

Here I chose a background color to replace the white one since it wasn't really bringing out the beauty or life of the art. The chosen colour was a deep green background. This made the art to pop out more than the previous white background, you can as well attest to this

And this is my final step and result of my sketch work. I left a few highlights on the body, giving it some lighter and darker portions. I didn't do much of the shading and highlight because it isn't supposed to be a realistic art so I left it with a few of those highlights and mid tones

And that was all the steps I saved for my submission, it took about three (3hour+) to work on this seemingly easy piece lol. Never underestimate any art pieces, it could take more time than you could have imagined and that there is what art is all about.
I hope to keep showing up every now and then, as it is not quite easy for me.
