Driving is something I have been doing all my life. Some of my fondest first memories are sitting in my sand box making roadways and driving my hot wheels cars and trucks around on them. 4-5 yrs old and in my imagination I was already rolling down the highway.

I wonder if back then was I already an Outlaw Trucker who took too many chances and got lucky?

@ 12 years of age I had moved on to electric slot cars and building plastic model kits. I even had a few slot car semi trucks (still have them) and I remember assembling a model kit of the tractor trailer from the Moving On television series. In all of these "Toys", In my minds eye. There I was, rolling on down the highway in them. At 15 I was driving my drunken asshole brother and father home. Sneaking out in their vehicles when I could get away with it. Life on a Pennsyl-Tucky (usa) farm gave me many things to drive. Tractors, motorcycles, bulldozers, and dump trucks to name a few. Around that same age my friend and neighbor was raising veal calves and when He sent them off for slaughter the trucker that loaded them let us ride in his truck with him a couple hundred miles to the processing facility in Utica NY. My fate was sealed that night. I was destined to be a @krazzytrukker

Even tho I have always been a driver. It was a long long time before I was good at it. Some days I still question my skills. I am a great driver. But many things factor into this. Decisions on when to drive. Where to drive. How to drive. The speed you drive and conditions you do that driving in. Storms fog etc. The condition of the truck/trailer. Weight of the load. Are you as the driver fatigued and even your mindset. Are you mentally fit to drive.

For probably the first half of my driving career I was an outlaw trucker. Many of the factors were not even thought about. I was a "Super Trucker."

Some of the best professional drivers in the world. Formula 1, NASCAR, NHRA Along with all the other forms of driving for pay requires taking chances. In my profession of commercial truck driving. The object is to minimize the risks to protect everyone else on the highway as well as yourself. I now practice these good behaviors to the best of my abilities. I have not always been successful at avoiding trouble. But I am proud to say I have never been the cause of any harm to others. I have multiple million miler safe driving awards. I have said many times these are lucky guy awards. The best at dodging bullets awards. As the hits never stop coming. If You let down your guard for one moment out there then...

𝔹 𝕆 𝕆 𝕄..!

You get taken out by another careless driver. Been there done that. Unavoidable is what the insurance companies called the drunk driver hitting me.

un... avoidable
