According to the story when the Japanese forces occupied Coron the US airforce bombed the mountain and chipped off a part of it.
The way to Mount Tapyas is on foot 👣 from the center of Coron town it is only ten minutes to reach the first Mount Tapyas stairway or you can hail a tricycle to get there.
