So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “THE EMBER MONTHS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “DEMOCRACY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing their thoughts with us on democracy in their various countries and how it was affecting the general masses. For many, democracy has only left a bitter aftertaste for people, due to the level of corruption that it encourages, and also how it allows people to slip through the laws.
However, we got to see that while democracy had it’ issues, it seemed to be the best options because it was the only one that gave everybody a voice. All other forms of government took that choice away from the people, and as long as the people will always have a way to vote their preferred candidates, democracy will always be the best bet. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

Maybe, in the long run, the people’s choice might just not be the right choice after all.*
