So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “FORGIVE AND FORGET”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “GETTING EDUCATED”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on education and the limits that were placed on it based on gender, and other factors. In a world where a portion of the population lacks access to quality education, it’s easy to see the importance of it and why every child must have even the most basic form of education.
We got to see that indeed, education is important. With the girl child often being the most to be kept from quality education, a lot has been made to change that reality. In today’s world, with more female children in school than ever, there are other limits to how far anyone can go academically due to factors like money, quota systems, and the general academic systems. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

*This author told us that in his country, Nigeria, everyone could get an education. The only limit one could have with regard to education was mostly financially related. With education open to the general public, the issue that is more prevalent is how expensive it is, the lack of adequate resources, and corruption by those in positions of power. That is the major battle that many people trying to get an education have to face today.*

And also, there is the quota system to consider.*

At this point, a good structure and better salaries for the teachers might be all the changes the school system needs.*
