Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be *Week 178, Edition 03* of our Weekly Featured Content.

Made With Canva
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “FOR YOUR MEMORY”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “FORGIVE AND FORGET”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on the acts of ‘forgive and forget’. We saw that while forgiveness might be a good act, helping to liberate people from all the negativity that came with haboring ill feelings, forgetting the wrongs done to us might only end up being a self-sabotage.
We saw that indeed, forgiveness is divine and if we want to move on from a pain or a hurt, we have to be willing to let it go fully. Not for the offender, but for our own freedom. And then, to protect ourselves in future and make sure we don’t get hurt by the same person, we never forget what they’ve done. So, forgiving and forgetting is not a realistic demand.

> For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w178e2; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
[FORGIVE AND FORGET: CHOOSE PEACE AND MOVE ON](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@shiftrox/enpt-br-forgive-and-forget-choose-peace-and-move-on) by @shiftrox
*This author told us that he understands why there is a rule like ‘forgive and forget’ in place, because carrying about negative feelings will only end up robbing us of our peace of mind. He has been hurt multiple times by people, so he chose to let it all go. All for his peace of mind, because that was what was most important to him.*
[LIVING WITH RESIDUALS OF A HURTFUL PAST](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@emrysjobber/s-s-7e235d2d4806c) by @emrysjobber
*For this author, he told us that when we choose to dwell on painful or hurtful memories, we find it hard to let them go and move on from them. While he genuinely forgives people who hurt him, he never makes the mistake of forgetting what they did to him, because that’s the only way that he can prevent such a thing from repeating itself.*
[THERE IS NO FORGETTING WITHOUT FORGIVENESS](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@ladyaryastark/there-is-no-forgetting-without) @ladyaryastark *For this author, both are a package deal because once she forgives something, she forgets the event, that’s the only way she can truly get past it. However, there might be cases where she can’t ever forgive an act, and as a result, she can’t forget it. This is important because if done right, forgiveness can be therapeutic.*

These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all. But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:
