Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be *Week 179, Edition 01* of our Weekly Featured Content.

So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week, which is “KNOW THY NEIGHBOR”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “FOR YOUR MEMORY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on their memories and the lengths they were willing to go to keep them intact. Eventually, as we age, we’d all have to face the harsh reality of losing our memories little by little, and many people looked at the idea of getting a chip implanted in our heads that would boost our memory capacity.
We got to see what many thought about this. Some could see themselves doing it, and others won’t even consider it at all. In the end, it all boils down to what we’re willing to allow into our bodies, because that’s what will determine how the rest of our lives will be. And with such experimental technology, it could go either way.

> For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w178e3; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
[TECHNOLOGY, MEMORY, AND THE CHOICE I’D RATHER NOT MAKE](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@nkemakonam89/technology-memory-and-the-choice) by @nkemakonam89
*This author told us that while she knows that she can be forgetful from time to time, like any other human, she can’t, in her right mind, allow people to poke around in her brain just for a sharper memory. The demerits will definitely outweigh the merits, and the consequences thereof are not something she’s willing to risk.*
[I’D RATHER STAY HUMAN THAN BECOME A ‘HUMAN AI’](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@xlety/i-d-rather-stay-human) by @xlety
*For this author, she told us that while the idea does sound tempting, it’s not something she has ever considered. Putting a chip in the brain could be the start of what would be the opening of a can of worms, because it can only get worse from there. Forgetting is a part of humanity, and a part of us that we’ve lived with for so long. It should be embraced.*
[A CHIP TO BOOST THE POWER OF THE BRAIN IS NOT NECESSARY](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@intishar/a-chip-to-boost-the-power-of-brain-is-not-necessary-bxr) @intishar *For this author, the brain has limitless opportunities to improve and get better, and for that, he’d never agree to getting a chip in his head. Also, the presence of a chip would also diminish whatever he achieved, because it would no longer be seen as a feat he pulled off, but something he achieved because of the chip. It would never be a good thing.*

These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all. But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:
[HOW MUCH DO YOU TRUST TECHNOLOGY?](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@terganftp/how-much-do-you-trust-technology) by @terganftp

[TO REMEMBER IS TO LIVE](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@ladyaryastark/to-remember-is-to-live) by @ladyaryastark
These are posts that were also found to be quite exceptional.
