Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be *Week 183, Edition 02* of our Weekly Featured Content.

So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “WHO ARE YOU?”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “THE LIE OF OMISSION”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their thoughts on the lies of omission. The art of telling half-truths or keeping crucial details from people, so they can do or say things that you want them to, or just so you can get a specific reaction. For many, it’s still a lie, and it carries just as much weight.
We got to see that there can be many reasons why people would choose this path. Many times, there might be a need to omit certain things when reporting, and other times, it just might simply be an outright deception meant for selfish reasons. In the end, the difference is in the reason. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

> For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w183e1; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.

*This author told us that lies of omission are immoral and could represent serious ethical failures. When you consider the kind of harm they can cause, there is enough evidence for such to be regarded as a punishable crime. When people knowingly withhold information that could help others or save them from harm, such a lie should definitely be punished.*
[WHY DO PHARMACIES ALWAYS SAY A PRESCRIPTION WILL ALWAYS TAKE 15 MINUTES?](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@terganftp/why-do-pharmacies-always-say-a-prescription-will-always-take-15-minutes) by @terganftp
*For this author, he believes that sometimes, giving too much information might end up being bad for the recipient. And as such, they may need to omit certain details, just to keep things running. But he believes that telling the truth in a respectful way is more constructive and helpful. But then, you could say too little and be lying, or say too much and be disrespectful. One simply has to find a balance between both.*
[NOT A LIE, BUT NOT THE TRUTH EITHER](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@fashtioluwa/not-a-lie-but-not-the-truth-either-3ec) by @fashtioluwa *For this author, he told us just how damaging lies of omission can be. Sadly, in the world today, many people consider it as normal, even when they experience it in their relationships. Trust can only be built on openness and not half-truths. A lie of omission may seem small and inconsequential, but the ripple effect will always weaken even the strongest bonds.*

The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all. But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:
