So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “THE WORLD OF SPORTS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “TALES OF HISTORY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on history and how it shapes the world we live in today. History is indeed told by victors, and thus will always be biased in their favor. And then, just because something is widely accepted doesn’t make it right.
We got to see that in many areas, there are pieces of history that are thought to be true when in fact, they’re not. These things are told for different reasons, and most of the time, they’re rarely for the good of the common man. This was an enlightening topic, indeed.
