Last week, I had the chance to witness one of the grandest events in our province—the Miss Zamboanga del Sur 2025 pageant. It was held in Pagadian City, and the excitement around the event was truly remarkable. This pageant, organized by our local government, has become one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year, drawing people from all over to witness the beauty, talent, and intelligence of the candidates.
The atmosphere was electric. The stage glowed with lights, the audience was full of energy, and you could feel the anticipation in the air as everyone waited to see who would be crowned this year’s queen. The event wasn’t just about beauty—it was about showcasing the culture, pride, and potential of Zamboanga del Sur.
Sometimes you could not imagine that the contestants are just from the province of Zamboanga del Sur. They carried themselves with such grace, confidence, and elegance that it felt like watching a national or even international pageant. Each one had her own story to tell, her advocacies to share, and her dreams to pursue.
What makes this pageant even more exciting is the lineup of judges and special celebrity guests who grace the event. Last year, Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, was one of the judges—a true highlight for many. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watch last year’s pageant, so I made sure not to miss this year’s show.

The most awaited part of the night, the moment before the announcement of Miss Zamboanga del Sur 2025. All eyes were on the two finalists standing side by side. You could feel the tension and excitement in the air as everyone held their breath, waiting to hear who would be crowned the new queen.
Finally, the most awaited part of the evening arrived. Amidst a shower of confetti, sparkling lights, and thunderous applause, the crown was placed on the head of Miss Pagadian, who emerged as the winner of Miss Zamboanga del Sur 2025. With tears of joy and a radiant smile, she waved to the crowd while holding her bouquet of flowers, marking a new chapter in her journey as the province’s new queen.
Kudos to our Provincial Governor for making this grand event possible. The Miss Zamboanga del Sur pageant continues to be more than just a beauty contest — it is a platform that showcases the pride, culture, and talent of the people of the province.
