Hello Everyone!
After work, we decided to go for a jog at the sports complex. To my surprise, the place was filled with people. Everywhere I looked, there were joggers circling the oval, some walking, others sprinting, and a few just warming up. I even spotted some acquaintances and friends, which made the atmosphere feel even more lively. At first, I thought, “Wow, everyone must be more health-conscious these days.” But then I realized that many of them were actually preparing for the upcoming fun run this Sunday.
What amazed me most was the presence of a coach guiding a group of runners. Before I started jogging, I stopped for a while to listen. The coach was sharing tips about proper running form and maybe even ways to build stamina. It was interesting and motivating at the same time. We decided to follow along with the coach’s routine.
Every two laps, we would return to the starting point for some stretching and short workout exercises before heading back to the track. This routine really broke the monotony and made jogging more enjoyable. By the end of the session, we had completed 10 laps around the oval. Since one lap measures 400 meters, we managed to cover a total distance of 4 kilometers through a mix of running and walking.
This is us on our last lap, cooling down before finishing. After several rounds of running and stretching, we took it slow and walked together, enjoying the evening breeze and the lights of the track. A perfect way to end our workout.
It was a tiring yet fulfilling evening. Jogging with so many people around gave me a sense of energy and motivation. The experience reminded me that fitness doesn’t have to be boring when shared with others—it becomes an inspiring community activity.
