Hello Everyone!
Last night, we gathered together for a very special occasion—my cousin’s birthday. It was a night filled with laughter, warm company, and of course, a table overflowing with delicious food that brought everyone closer.
One of the highlights of the feast for me was the crabs. I’ve always loved crabs—they’re one of my absolute favorite foods. Cracking open the shell and enjoying the rich, flavorful meat felt extra satisfying during a celebration like this. It’s the kind of dish that instantly makes the occasion more special for me.
The table was also filled with grilled fish, hearty beef soup, seafood delights, pasta, and other tasty dishes that kept everyone coming back for seconds. And though I wasn’t able to capture it in a photo, there was also lechon—the star of every Filipino celebration. No birthday feels complete without it. In our tradition, lechon isn’t just food; it’s a symbol of festivity, abundance, and togetherness.
And of course, the sweetness of the night came with cakes—several of them! From chocolate to red velvet, and even a personalized birthday cake, each one added color and joy to the evening. Everyone gathered around, singing “Happy Birthday” while enjoying a slice.
More than the food, what made the night unforgettable was the love and joy shared around the table. Birthdays are not just about adding another year to life, but about celebrating it with the people who matter most.
